What are the different SMP hairlines?
There are many things to consider when it comes to choosing the perfect hairline for micropigmentation on the scalp. The angle, the curve, the position... it's enough to make your head spin! But fear not, we're here to help you navigate the choices and find the hairline that's right for you.
Here at PanovaSMP, we design your new hairline based on your face shape, facial muscle placement and natural hairline. Each style is unique to the person and the desired outcome - but the goal is always an undetectable new look that will look great for years to come.
There are several different hairline styles to choose from. If you're looking for a natural look, you can opt for a softer, curvier hairline. If you want something a little more dramatic, you can choose a straighter, more defined hairline. No matter what your preference, there is a hair style that is perfect for you. The 4 basic hairlines are:
Edge up/straight
Retreating / curved
Pointed / widow's peak
Feathered/ Scattered
Some of the things we take into consideration when designing a flattering hairline include:
The shape of your face. If you have a round face, you'll want to have a more angular hairline. If you have a long face, you'll want to avoid a straight hairline, which will make your face look even longer.
The texture of your hair. If you have fine, thin hair, usually a softer, finer hairline will suit you. If you have thick, coarse hair, you might opt for a more dramatic straight hair.
There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to hairline design, so what's right for one client may not be right for another. Before we even start tattooing, we design the hairline with our clients and make sure they are 100% happy with it.
How to find the perfect hairline?
One of the ways we can find the right position for your hairline is by getting you to raise your eyebrows. By following the natural curve that the face makes/wrinkles and staying above that line, we can tell where the client's natural hairline once was.
